Overview of Art at Lache Primary School
At Lache Primary School, we strive to ensure that Art and Design inspires children's creativity and imagination allowing them to shine . It enables us to communicate with what we see, feel and think through the use of many different techniques and skills. We value the individuality of all our children by giving every child the opportunity to express themselves and encourage them to think creatively. By making their own independent choices to express what they are thinking/feeling, we hope that our children will build confidence in themselves and their abilities, and learn to feel more comfortable in expressing their feelings too.

We ensure that we don't adopt a one-size- fits all approach to our SEND provision in Art. We make adaptations according to the children's individual needs. We use targetted teaching approaches for example using identifiable subject matter when working with abstract ideas.
