SEND and DT:
We believe that targetted teaching is much more beneficial for children with SEND, therefore we ensure that childrens skills and progression are regularly assessed to ensure that the content they are being taught is relevent to their needs.
We ensure that we don't adopt a one-size- fits all approach to our SEND provision in DT. We make adaptations according to the children's individual needs. We use targetted teaching approaches for example using identifiable subject matter when working with a range of different materials.
If you would like more information about how we support children who have SEND with their DT, then please see our SEND section of the website.
