Religious Education
Overview of Religious Education at Lache Primary School
At Lache Primary School we follow the Chester West and Chester agreed syllabus for Relilgious Education. Religions that are studies under the agreed syllabus are as follows;
- Christianity
- Islam
- Judaism
- Hinduism
- Shikism
Along with these religions we also make links to British Values, Humnism and No Outsiders as part of the agreeed syllabus.
RE Week
Once per term we have a dedicated week for RE Studies. This is in line with the whole school plan and Cheshire West and Chester agreeed syllabus. Nursery and reception have stand alone RE days/ session in line with the EYFS framework outcomes, this can also be found on the whole school plan.
SEND at Lache Primary School
At Lache primary we believe that SEND pupils have an absolute entitlement to the important knowledge that they will need in life, for which RE plays a significant role. Careful task design can be useful in making the key aspects of RE lessons clearer and more accessable for pupils with SEND; those who find learning more difficult are likely to disadvantaged by overrly elaborate task design which can make it harder for pupils to give attention to what they should be learning.
